The big chop refers to chopping all of the relaxed hair off.
The big chop is just one ways we previously discussed on how to transition from relaxed hair to natural hair.
The Big Chop a.k.a the BC as it is commonly called refers to when a women cuts off her relaxed hair with just a few inches or no hair at all to spare.
If you prefer to do the big chop it usually has no transition time or very little transition time from relaxed to natural hair.
This transition may range from 2 weeks to 2 months. This will result into a very low cut/bald or teeny weeny afro (TWA).
Many women can find doing to big chop liberating or terrifying. Choosing to big chop is like everything else a personal choice.
A woman who big chops very low does not discredit or make her better than the woman who transitioned to natural hair for a year or two.
Embrace your texture, Embrace your length, Embrace your hair! and it will help make the process easier.
