20130612-154914.jpgI had the pleasure of being sent the brand new Motions Straight Finish Heat Styling System kit  to review. The beautiful kit even came with an Isostyler flat iron!

The three step kit is available to help you seamlessly go from curly to straight without losing your curl pattern. Best of all all three products are only $6.99 and available at Target, Walmart, and drugstore.com

I used my mom as my test subject as she regularly straightens her natural hair and I had marley twists in at the time.

Check out the process I took as well as my mom’s overall review of the product.

Step by Step:

Step 1: I washed my mom’s hair with the Straight Finish Cleanser

Seeing as though she washes her hair every two weeks the cleanser did a great job of removing any build up. The shampoo was a little harsh but it didn’t leave the hair feeling completely stripped.

20130612-154929.jpgStep 2 Applied Straight Finish Leave In Conditioner and Blow dried Hair

Here I applied the leave in conditioner liberally after I toweled dried her hair with a microfiber towel. This leave in conditioner was like BUTTER! It elongated her curls, moisturized and made detangling a breeze.

I also applied the Straight Finish Sealer before I blow dried her hair just for some added heat protection. On the instructions it says to use before flat ironing.

Blow Dried Hair

I didn’t have an ionic/ceramic blow dryer but her hair was  really soft.

Step 3: Flat Iron

My final thoughts:

This collection was simple to use and lasted for a good week in Georgia humidity. The only negative thing is the flat iron they sent didn’t have a temperature dial but that wasn’t reflective of the products themselves.
