On April 5th and 6th I had the pleasure of being a model for Jane Carter at two events held in the Atlanta area Whole Foods Markets. I have been a fan of Jane Carter products but I had only tried her Shampoo and Nutrient Replenishing Conditioner.
To create the “princess look” for the two events Tress Talk used:
- Hydrating and Invigorating SLS free Shampoo
- Nutrient Replenishing Conditioner
- Revitalizing Leave in Conditioner to detangle my hair.
- Curl Defining Cream used to twist hair.
As I have stated before I am not typically a wash and go girl but I must say when Jane applied the Curl Defining Cream to my hair and smoothed the product in I was quite surprised. The defining cream brought out my texture beautifully especially in the front of my hair where there is not a lot of definition. I think I have FINALLY found my wash and go product and can’t wait to try it with the product and technique I learned from my girls at Tress Talk and Jane herself! The results of the twist out were phenomenal as the definition in my hair really popped. During both events and the days following I was asked if this was a wash and go as you can see the curls on the ends that popped.
The Curl Defining Cream was named one of the 2011 Best by Essence and it definitely works on thicker and coarser textures that may not be technically defined as “curly”.
Jane was very hospitable towards the Tress Talk team , other models, and myself. She holds a wealth of information on natural hair care and styling with her product line being the “prescription” for your hair care needs. The entire product list is definitely a go-to line from the beginning to end of the hair styling process.
I can’t wait to try the curl defining cream for a finger style in the coming weeks!
