Shea Moisture Curling Souffle Review

The internet has been buzzing as of late searching for information on the Shea Moisture Curling Souffle. I was privileged to be able to have gotten some at the Shea Moisture night out event a few weeks ago. I am normally not a wash and go girl but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try this elusive style once again.

After washing and conditioning with Shea Moisture’s shampoo and conditioner I began to apply the curling souffle in sections throughout damp and wet hair.

This product is different as it is a sugar based  and is sticky. I would reccomend using it in the shower so you can rinse off any residue that may take place when applying the product. Besides the stickiness I loved the shine and moisture it gave to my hair as after 4 days my hair was still very soft and moisturized. This was  unlike alcohol based gels that dry my hair out or begin to flake.

Check out the video below to see my end results and the difference in using the product on damp hair vs. wet hair. If your hair is curlier than mine you should experience very defined curls as it defined my waves very well.

The gel is also good on dry hair to slick down hair for puffs or other styles.

I tried the shea moisture soufflé, at first it was smooth and slippery, but after it dried my hair out. My hair felt like a Brillo Pad. I was not too happy with this product. I might try it again down the line.
