No heat Flexi-rod set
After a brief experiment I have learned that a flexi rod rollerset on natural hair without heat is achievable. I. HATE. THE .DRYER. Now that that has been said I love styles that don’t require a lot of heat. My hair is extremely thick and takes forever to dry (even when it was permed) so I don’t like spending my full day under it. For this style I put a spin on my typical flexi rod set by completely avoiding the dryer!
My normal flexi rod set consists of rolling, setting, and banishing myself under the cell of dry heat for 1 and 1/2 hours and then sleeping in my flexi rods throughout the night.
Throwback video on how I set my hair with the rollers.
The only products I used differently from the above video is instead of my faithful Organic Root Stimulator Lock and Twist Gel I used Afiya Loc & Twist Gel (coconut) which worked just as well and smelled better than my beloved ORS Lock & Twist gel.
This style was an experiment to see if my roller set could be achieved without heat and it was a SUCCESS!
Definition, Shine, and Softness were achieved!

Came out really nice! I haven’t put heat to my hair in years, I wouldn’t even know what to do with it at this point lol.
That is GORGEOUS!!
I havn’t put a drop of heat in my hair in about 10 years, and havn’t missed it at ALL.
I would like to order the rollers the young lady used in the hair style fine hair please can someone tell me how.
Hi Lillie, I used flexi rod rollers that you can find at your local beauty supply store for about 2.00 a pack.
I like your hair! It is 2012, and I am about to use my first flexi rod roll with Organic Lock and Twist. I may sit under the dryer (even tho I can’t stand the dryer either) just to see what may happen. Yea, sleeping those flexi rods is not the most comfortable things–that’s why I may not have put that many in and may have been my problem!
