Straighten Up: My yearly thermal styling at Curltopia Salon

My hair is officially straight for the holiday season. It was a bitter sweet moment as I said goodbye (temporarily) to my big, wild hair but excited to see my length. I am not a big “bone straight” hair on me person. Last December was the first time I had straightened my hair in 3 years and that was only because I was graduating college and my hair couldn’t fit under my cap lol. Since then I decided every December would be my straight hair season and yearly trim.

I went to Curltopia here in Atlanta and let master stylist Aliah work her magic on my oversized mane. I am very protective of my hair and after she passed the test last year with NO heat damage and a long lasting press (4 weeks) , I returned to her this year.

Here are the results of my surprisingly short 3 hour trip to Curltopia.

I love the super chic decor of the salon.

Wow, that’s purty — and i’m glad you had a good experience too! I just had the same thing done to my TWA. I was like, “It’s chin length all around now? Oh shoot!” =)

Cool. Do they only use curly girl products there? I just wanted to say your hair is gorgeous! I may have to take a trip to Atlanta.
